AAA Texas: Gas prices decrease during Spring Break

TEXAS (KAUZ) - According to AAA Texas, the average gas price across the state is seven cents less compared to this day last week and 36 cents less per gallon than this day last year.
The statewide gas price average in Texas is $2.66 per gallon for regular unleaded fuel. Despite increased demand, AAA Texas said gas prices dipped lower this week, with today’s statewide average 12 percent lower compared to this day last year.
AAA Texas said this drop comes as many travelers gear up to hit the road for spring break and drivers may be surprised to find gas under $3 in 31 states.
According to new data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA), gasoline demand increased from 8.87 million b/d last week to 9.18.
